IS IT HUNTING SEASON YET?

Several reminders of hunting season today......

Girls in camo hats...........

Today, my dad surprised me and dropped off the first deer rifle I ever owned which he painstakingly tracked down after I pawned it off during college as I WAS BBBBBBBBBBBROOOKE!!!!! Thanks DAD!!!!! And to top it off, he somehow still had the shell I killed my first deer with using this rifle!
I'm never selling her again! I have such fond memories of that first shot in 1989!

NOW:

I caught a whiff of fall in the morning air today! (Or maybe it was a mouth full of Apple Skoal on the ride home as the sun rose.....)

MY PLACE OF ESCAPE, THE TEAM-T SERVICE GARAGE!

You might be thinking to yourself, "O.K., he has a garage.....so do I....big deal". Well, I have two garages......but that's not the point.....The whole purpose of this post is I want you to realize something about what this garage means to me......(here is the view of my special place from our house deck)

I LIVE WITH FIVE WOMEN!

So this pole barn is my escape! Oh the countless hours I spend in this beauty.....It is the birthplace of many redneck inventions and is my CRAZY MAN'S LABORATORY! The jitters sled and jitters deer hauler and who could forget the walk in hanging deer cooler to hang those fershly killed fawns in during OCTOBER BOW SEASON to name a few of the monstrosities I've come up with in my lab.......(here the TEAM-T ICE FISHING SLED TODDLER BED hangs in wait of yet another ice fishing season....I have room elsewhere to put it but I like to hang it right in the middle of the garage just so I can admire it all year long)

Since we have one income and two junky vans, I get to do all of my repairs in this the TEAM T SERVICE GARAGE as well.....here are just some of the supplies I pour into what seems to be these two life leeching fluid dripping time hogging constantly breaking down MONSTERS! (notice some left over spray paint from the camo van?)

I have to really struggle to be neat......Here is a peg board even my dad could be proud of! It contains the following:

  1. I've got two spark plugs that are brand new but I have no idea what they go to but they are new and add to the look of manliness to the garage.
  2. I also have a wrecked and dull circular saw blade that I'm keeping in case I need to cut any more limbs down about 22 feet up in the tree next to the house. What? You've never used a circular saw to cut down tree limbs? I am a redneck and I have! Chain saws are for people who have time to sharpen blades, I use circular saws and sawz-alls for absolutely everything I cut!
  3. I have a sweet looking long necked MASTERLOCK padlock that is in the "locked" position. I don't have the keys and believe it was left behind by the previous owner of the house...Sure is pretty though!
  4. I ran out of hooks to hang worthless stuff on the pegboard so I went and bought a box of S-Hooks. Problem is they don't stay in the pegboard so I put them back in the box and hung them from the last available peg on the board.
  5. A sweet looking stainless steel grease gun that I purchased to lube my cars with, problem is that the tip is rigid and doesn't bend so I can only grease two of the fittings of the 8 on my van. Oh well, sure looks pretty!
  6. I have two new in the box Halogen bulbs that I purchased from Meijers on clearance.....Original price said 6.99 and the clearance price was 50 cents! I don't have the light to go with them but maybe someday will and what a buy they were!
  7. A wierd looking saw (in left of picture).......Someone said it cuts metal? HOGWASH! MY CIRCULAR SAW CUTS THE CHIT OUTTA METAL!

The interior of my palace is adorned with some pretty fancy indoor lights. They were on the inside of our home when we bought it. After switching them out with new fixtures I slapped em up in my garage!

These lights aren't the only electrical modification I've made....I awoke one Saturday morning at 0600 hours to see the INFAMOUS "BIG STICK" out in my p0le barn......After walking out and inquiring what the hell he was doing, I found out he updated my service with a 30 amp breaker so that he could (and i quote) "RUN HIS AIRCONDITIONING ON HIS MOTOR HOME WHEN HE PARKED IT IN MY BACK DRIVEWAY FOR THE SUMMER"......Needless to say we cut that down to a weekend. (I am in the process of preparing a blog post dedicated to this legend of a man, BIG STICK.....can't wait to introduce you all)....Here's the BIG STICK PLUG reserved just for his power sucking motorhome!

Other things my garage contains:

  1. My recently purhcased 1981 SNOW COMMANDER
  2. I learned at work that shoes hanging tight together over a power wire mean "dope sold here." Although no dope is sold in my garage, what a great idea to keep winter boots mice free during storage!
  3. The kids toy bin. Anyone that has kids will know the feeling of tripping over a kid's bigwheel and impaling yourself on another kids scooter and then hitting your head on a rollerskate....THE KIDS TOY BIN eliminates all of these problems so I no longer have to throw big wheels across the yard in anger..

Well, thats all folks.....Hope you enjoyed the peek into my looney man's laboratory of stuff........

My Highschool Girlfriends' Teeth.......

I was perusing through my High School yearbooks and discovered something interesting about the girls I dated during High School.......I never figured this out until now.......I think I figured out why I dated them.................

Their Teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Notice how much they are alike!!!!!!!!!

I thought I had dated them for their personality, blonde hair, pretty faces........But now I realize it was a deep primate desire to breed with a woman who had good teeth to further my young and stomp out the teeth I have in the gene pool! Notice how they all have very dominant chins.......Making up for a shortcoming perhaps?????But I did date some beauties......And married an even prettier (naughtier) one! (with better teeth and chin than I have).......

HOG PIKE-A-RAMA FEST!

Me and mama Team-T got a stay over babysitter and went for the walleye....none to be found......We didn't know it was time for PIKEARAMA! Got out on Gun Lake at about 1830 hours.....Pulled the plug at 0200! A good run!

About a 34"er......With the girth to match! THIS IS THE BIGGEST FISH I HAVE CAUGHT IN MY 31 YEARS OF ROAMING THIS PLANET!

And I gotta say, I really missed working tonight........NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mama Team-T with her catch.....

Who's got he worst teeth? Him or me? In tribute to Trailer and his singing ability of Quiet Riot......"I got a mouth like an all-i-gator!"

........................................
I was very proud of my wife and her "fishing" skills tonight!

Fish never go to the dentist and their teeth are fine......So unfair....

THE END

WHITE TRASH POOL FUN!

Have you ever driven by a double wide trailer on 1.6 acres and seen a collapsed and forgotten impulse purchased above the ground pool? Well,,,,,,,,,,we bought one......and after some seriously hard work.........ITS UP!

Ground prep.........Hours of hauling sod.....

More sod......

Trying to get out the rocks.....

FINISHED PRODUCT!

Call me white trash......Call me a cheap ass......After all its only 42" deep and 15' across........But as a wise man said, wet is wet........And I can't wait to do a cannonball into this 105 degree pool.....I put the solar cover on and it should be just about gettin real hot by now......Can't wait to take a plunge!
