So much new to report!  New place ON GUN LAKE, dayshift, fall is here.....Sometimes pictures tell a better story.....

I'm back!

Wow!  It's been that long since I fired this thing back up?  Time gets away from ya quick!  And it is TIME TO GET THE MACHINE GOIN AGAIN!  So many updates, pics, changes, and funny stuff has happened.......Get settled in your seats, and hold on because the outpouring is going to begin!  And a little side note, the blog could be called GUNLAKERS now!!!       Finally!  But I'll keep the name......four years of life on here, can't lose it :)

From Me to All those Reading this...

Today I greet you all with an outpouring of my inner thoughts of the day.  Sometimes sleep deprivation brings out the best of my quirky thoughts.  I sat down today and this poem poured out of my soul.  Each word and line is mine, flowing from my thoughts.  Hope you enjoy.  

My Love, The Sea

I shall return, once again, to my love,
The Sea.
Her boding arms calling me in my hearts desire.
Never once asking more than my presence,
In solitude.
To partake in her beauty and bask in her depths.
N’er once has she desired more than me to long for her rhythmic tides,
And to ride about her calming beat of current.
I ask, what has she done to my soul that other love has?
She holds the risk of plunging my soul into her depths, and taking the very last breath from my body.
And she delivers the promise of engulfing me with her every stride.
Yet she calls still, in my soul.
And I long for My love, The Sea.

The Year In Review-Musings of a Maniac Man

It always does the body good to pause occasionally and take a look in the mirror.  Rather, to take a look back and tally what has transpired.  An inventory of sorts.  Here is a glance back over the year in photos and videos.  Things accomplished, memories garnered, and a glimpse of what like has looked like to me......

I so enjoy the wind blown fresh into my soul in Leelanau!  Leelanau is the Indian word "Land of Delight!"

I have new goals for this year.....Several years ago my brother, dad and I set about a plan that each year in the fall we would devote much time in Leelanau.  Several years into it, I cherish that time of the year now!  We are expanding that this year to include Morel Mushroom Hunting in the spring, and of course, ICE FISHAPALOOZA will happen again this year in February!

More time with ME LADIES is definitely in order.  This year I want to show them the Mackinaw Bridge and also the beautiful Upper Peninsula!  We made some wonderful memories this year!

Here's to a fresh new year with so many exciting things to look forward to!  Let's git living!!!!
