Well, I don't like New Year's Resolutions. I do however, like to challenge myself and set goals. I offer this challenge to you today:
1.Take a piece of paper and pencil and walk around your house. Write down all the things that need to be repaired. Start fixing them! Today!
2.Rip off a clean sheat of paper and write down 5 places you want to go this year. Mine include the following so far:
A boat trip adventure from Holland, MI to Ludington, MI.
South Haven
Canada trip with the family
The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in the U.P.
3.On yet another piece of paper, write down some goals at work. Mine are:
Work harder and consistently harder.
Watch my mouth.
Look professional each day.
4.Renew your faith. I have slacked off on going to church and making HIM a part of my daily life at times. Get back on the horse!
5.Start living like this is the last year of my life.
-Taking the family fishing every chance I can
-Experiencing the big Lake with my family and finding new towns, restaurants that we have never experienced.
-sleep less
-Talk to my spouse more about all of life
-Cook for more people and entertain them at our home.
-Plan and make more special meals at home for the family
-Aggressively watch for the Morel mushrooms to pop this year and not miss em like I did last year!
-Spend more time with my mom/dad and show them some new experiences on the boat!
6.My final and biggest challenge to you is this:
Take a serious inventory of ourselves and decide what needs to go, what needs to be added to our character, and aggressively pursue these to be a leader to those around us!
I would offer that the best way to accomplish all of the above listed things is ATTITUDE. BE TENACIOUS, BUBBLY, AND GLEAMING WITH ENERGY! WE MUST MARCH LOUD ENOUGH THAT THOSE AROUND US CAN'T HELP BUT FOLLOW!
Big Bucks!

For my research paper in my work leadership class I am going FULL REGALA GEAR and giving a first person account of my chosen leader, General Douglas Macarthur.

So, is throwing $120 at a presentation in a class too much? Not at all. "Whatever your hand findeth to do, do it with all your might." Jesus
High School Memories
As you enjoy this song "Angel Eyes" by the Jeff Healey Band, I wish to remind you of two things:
The lead singer is blind.
This was the first song I ever danced to with a girl. And I will never forget it! High School!
**************************************UPDATE**********************************
I looked at the above post I wrote, and gotta tell ya, it doesn't even come close to explaining my thoughts here...So, let's put the "lazy blogger" aside, and open the magic box.....
Turn up the music, "Angel Eyes" by Jeff Healey. Come with me, will you? Back in time?
For me, with each line of the beautiful ballad, I can close my eyes and almost smell that gymnasium at Hudsonville High School. The dim lights, the zylar balloons that said "PROM!", the music beckoning in the background, and a floor filled with young kids, high schoolers...And now zoom into me, the smell of her hair as we danced back and forth so awkwardly, yet so beautifully....It was my first hands on glance of a woman.....The feeling of her body against mine, her arms on my shoulders, the smell of her perfume, the precious line of her neck and faux shiny jewelry necklace adorning her.....The soft glide of us dancing together.....How nervous I was, and how clammy her hands felt, and how absolutely wonderfuleriffic this body rushing feeling was......I had never experienced such a feeling....and from then on, I was encapsulated in my drive and pursuit of womankind. I can still feel the wobbling inside my soul of pure and utter magic.....The first time....I danced.....With a woman.....
This song always brings me back there....

Erosion!
I can't help but notice that the end of another era is upon me......The death of the COMMANCHE COMMANDER HAS DRAWN NEAR! As each day the cab and bed of the truck angle more and more against eachother, it is clear it's time to get rid of her.....
I must say that for 800 bucks she has done well for almost two years! And I think I know where it all started.....Here she is at purchase from my brother....
It all began helping the old bastard man that was stuck at the launch.....Not even a thank you! But that is what being an American is all about!
